I have a 1986 Savage and I too do not like the sound of the stock pipe. I am contemplating about going to see an exhaust maker here in New Zealand and see what he can come up with. He makes both chrome and stainless ehausts, though the stainless sounds like a better option, only $50 NZ more. $450 NZ for a stainless origina copy so hopefully about the same for throatier modified one. Let you know when I have it.
